The CHPNA Board has proposed a renovation of the three Jones-Maltsberger grassy medians alongside Crownhill Park. Neighborhood volunteers have tended to this city land for decades because it serves
as the prominent face of the community, and it’s in dire need of improvement.
Work would take place in two stages. First, up to 15 planting beds with metal border, weed barrier fabric, and either rock or mulch will be installed. Some of the existing vegetation will be relocated during this
process. Then new shrubs, agave / cactus, and trees will be added in 2025 and 2026 as fundraising allows. Boulders may be added to deter
vehicles.
